About once a quarter, I go into full on craving mode for Outback Steakhouse. The whole nine yards. EXTRA dark honey wheat bread and whipped butter, Bloomin’ Onion, Outback Special cooked medium rare, baked potato and of course….ending the meal with the kid’s MAC N’ CHEESE!!!!!!! Sickening? Yes.
Living in Atlanta there is honestly no Outback convenient for me to go to……So I took matters into my own hands and perfected the ULTIMATE Hungry Girl Copy Cat Outback Mac N’ Cheese. AND ITS SUPER EASY!
INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 pinch of paprika
8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 box of Rigatoni (cooked)
PREPERATION
Melt the butter in a saucepan and whisk in the flour. Don’t burn the butter – keep on low heat.
Stir in the milk, salt, and paprika, then the cubes of Velveeta. Stir until it thickens. Too Thick? Add more milk.
Add the cooked Rigatoni to the sauce. Stir and serve warm.
VOILA!!!!!!!!!!!
