Even though I haven’t become a mom yet, I’ve taken the time to curate a list of baby essentials for my soon-to-arrive baby boy. This list is the result of thorough research, encompassing over 50 ‘must-have’ lists submitted by you all, as well as valuable recommendations from friends and family. Oh and of course some extra things that I probably don’t need but have to have 😉
Feeding
Spectra Pump – came highly reccomended by friends. I am not sure if I am going to breastfeed, pump or do formula. Only time will tell!
Diapers – highly recommended by many of you! Not the most organic organic ever but I think they are perfect balance of actually functional without the harsh chemicals.
Disposable Changing Pads – my friends keep these in their diaper bag and they use on the go all the time
Acrylic Cart – to keep all supplies on both levels of the house
Baby Gear
Doona Stroller – the most recommended stroller for us. Easy to use stroller to carseat all in one. I used this with Caroline and I personally loved it for riding around town, on the go errands and traveling.
Mockingbird Stroller – I also love this stroller and it grows with your family. It has one million different configurations and will be great for longer walks. You can use my code MEGANANNGIFT for a free cup holder attachment!
Snoo – Still not sure what we are going to do here. We bought this second hand off of a friend. Some people say its a game changer and some people say skip the transition and put them straight in the crib. We will see what we do!
Humidifier – Our baby is being born in the winter so I think this is very important! Moisture helps the baby to breathe and solves the problems associated with dry or irritated skin, chapped lips, sour throat, dry sinuses, stuffy noses, and baby cough. I want to get one for me too!
Bathing
Baby Bath – I wanted a chic looking one but the reviews were horrible – so practical it is!
Tubby Todd Newborn Set – again I love this brand and their story. Ingredients are great too.
Haircare Set – semi crunchy mom to be over here. This brand is clean and one you can trust. I thought I wanted Noodle & Boo but their ingredients are not great.
I am registered for most of my clothing at Baby Braithwaite in Atlanta because I just absolutely love everything they carry. They can do no wrong! It was so helpful and eyeopening to register there because I was so confused by how much I would need, what sizing and what season the clothes would need to be. Their team will plan that all out for you which took a huge weight off my shoulders! n terms of baby style we are going to stick to neutrals, light blues, light greens and soft colors. Baby aesthtic = little european german boy. Laugh all you want, I loveeee it! Some other brands and retailers I love are listed below.
White Onesies – you can never have enough! So got this huge bundle that grows with sizing.
La Coqueta – I loveeee this site. The sweetest clothes from Spain. These are a little formal and for special outings. I love this, this, this and this.
Maisonette – another great site for all things baby + kids! They also have a lot of great things for home.
Postpartum and Recovery Kit – I read someone’s postpartum blog post and it makes me a little nervous/terrified. I know I will need more than this but will share more about what I use when the times come!
Let me know if I am missing anything important! Thank you everyone for you help and support – we are so excited for this next chapter.
