Smokey French Toast with Home Depot & Traeger Grills

When growing up every single holiday, special occasion or birthday required french toast made by my daddio! With the holidays right around the corner, I have been trying to perfect his french toast recipe (with a twist) so I can impress the people on Christmas morning!

I was scrolling through Tik Tok one day and I saw someone making French Toast on their grill!!!! Like what?! OMG Smokey French Toast, need I say more?!

We recently upgraded to The Traeger Timberland 1300 Grill! TraegerGrill is a convection-based wood pellet grill where high tech meets old fashioned grilling. But I like to think of the Timberland 1300 as the MAC DADDY of Traeger grills. Now that I’ve used this bad boy for a few months now, I am really starting to experiment with some cool recipes that I never knew you could do on a grill!

The wonderful thing about purchasing a grill at The Home Depot is that they offer FREE DELIVERY on all grills purchased online. If anyone purchases a grill valued at $399 and above in-store, they also will qualify for FREE ASSEMBLY and delivery.

There are a lot of reasons why Traeger is KING but here are some of my favorite reasons:

  • Equipped with smart, WiFIRE technology and all-new D2 Drivetrain (The new D2 drive-train will deliver maximum flavor to your food thanks to its broader temperature ranges).

  • Control your wi-fi pellet grill anywhere with the WiFIRE digital controller which allows you to set and adjust temperatures and monitor cooking from your smartphone.

  • Designed with 6-in-1 functionality to grill, smoke, bake, roast, braise and barbecue with consistent results. We ain’t just grillin’ over here!

Built-in main rack plus middle and upper racks provide 1300 sq. inches of cooking surface for a big ol’ Brisket or as Traeger states it can hold the following: up to 60 hamburgers, 12 chickens, 82 hot dogs, or 14 racks of ribs (no, not all at once).

We can make a lot of french toast for all of the family members who consume 6+ slices each!

  • Three cooking tiers include two dual-position removable racks.

  • Double-wall stainless-steel interior helps maintain even temperature and keep smoke inside.

  • Fueled by all-natural wood pellets for real wood-fired flavor

  • Easy to use + easy cleanup

Now check out the recipe below for the most delicious and decadent Smokey French Toast!!!

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted (Kerrygold)

  • 9-12 pieces of brioche bread (or enough to line your cookie sheet)

  2. Combine the eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, milk, and salt. Whisk it.

  3. Coat pan with nonstick cooking spray

  4. Dip the brioche into the egg wash and soak it (try not to break the bread) then place onto the cookie sheet

  5. Place the pan into grill. Cook for 8 minutes and flip. Cook an additional 5-10 minutes.

  6.  Serve with butter, powdered sugar and authentic Vermont Maple Syrup.

ENJOY!!!! 🙂
